Waited 2hrs past appt time. Germin was one of the rudest condescending, sadistic people I have ever met. He asked me what I do for a living and he actually rolled his eyes, guess I'm not as good as him. Refused to explain the results of my tests in language I could understand. Told me he would leave the decision to continue the meds up to my discretion! WTH? Kept calling me, "my friend". I asked him to address me as Ms Jones. when I arrived I was greeted by a great staff. I was called back by Dr. Alison, the nurse practitioner doctor. She was thourough, knowledgable, and really seemed to care about what I had to say. Dr. Germin, the neurologist was terrible though. He spoke at me and not to me in words I didnt get. He didn't seem to care at all about what I was there for. Dr. Germin is always very caring and professional. He explained my medical condition and how he and along with my cooperation would be treating my diseases. He made the diagnoses and had it confirmed which actually saved my life. He was also very instrumental in dealing with the insurance company; in order for me to get the treatment I needed.
I dont know from what rocks you schlubs crawled, but Ive been seeing Dr. Germin for 2-3 yrs now. After all of the other Dr.s who had misdiagnosed me and treated me for anything from migraines to epilepsy, Germin nailed it after a few blood tests and in office tests. I can agree, he does have a stiff demeanor, but you're not there for a social party, you're there to get treated. I must have been in la-la land....when I saw Dr Germin....the staff was very polite and helpful.....he was very easy to understand ...he was very knowledgable....very caring..spent a decent amount of time with me . He was friendly and still professional.These other comments had me scared . But I remembered my Mom saying ..believe none of what you read and half of what you see . Thanks , Mom. Don't let other people's comments scare you into not seeing for yourself.
I was completely misdiagnoised. I did not know this until my seizures were so out of control that I moved out of state 5 years ago. I moved to a part of the country were there was a epilepsy center. Within the first 6 months I lived over here I had 3 epilepsy surgery which made me seizure free, that includes not only grandmal but simple partial seizure which I was having everyday and Dr. Leo Germin did not believe they were seizures. This man shouldn't have a license to practice medicine. He completely misdiagnosed condition and like an earlier reviewer, threatened to restrict driving privileges, etc. all over a completely misdiagnosed condition. When questioned, he became very rude and condescending and treated me and my husband like we were just too dumb to understand what was going on. Never again and I have told everyone I know to run as far away from him as possible.
