About this business

Georgia Brown's offers a wide variety of soul food and "low country" fare served with Southern hospitality. Select from the traditional dishes of South Carolina, such as fried catfish and seafood gumbo, or be daring and try the shrimp and grits or frogmore stew. In a nod to the health conscious, Georgia Brown's also offers vegetarian versions of the meat-filled entrees. For a special treat, stop in for Sunday brunch, which features live swing jazz and a generous fixed-price menu.

This place was amazing. Me and my wife went for the first time for brunch and we officially have made this a monthly trip. Food was bomb. And you get a free dinner with brunch to take home!!!!! Service was great. There was live Jazz music. It felt classy yet relaxed. And they had valet (even though they should hire a few more bc the valet line was long and only two drivers). There buffet is so diverse from seafood, omelette station, carved turkey and beef, and even fruit kabobs. Plan to spend around $150 not including the ti... read more

Really good food. The fried chicken was amazing and juicy. Downside...long wait past reservation. Not great management of tables, but the hostess did offer us a free appetizer sampler for the inconvenience.

Georgia Brown's is the first place i head when I get into DC. Nothing like this where I come from in Idaho! Love the food, the service, the atmosphere, and las night a jazz trio played in the background for dinner. I recommend it to everyone I know traveling to the nation's capital. And every local I speak to says the same thing. Great Restaurant!
