Georgia Brown's offers a wide variety of soul food and "low country" fare served with Southern hospitality. Select from the traditional dishes of South Carolina, such as fried catfish and seafood gumbo, or be daring and try the shrimp and grits or frogmore stew. In a nod to the health conscious, Georgia Brown's also offers vegetarian versions of the meat-filled entrees. For a special treat, stop in for Sunday brunch, which features live swing jazz and a generous fixed-price menu.

well rounded restaurant, music was great, food excellent , A little Pricey. Go every yr. for Mothers Day. Really enjoyed my day. This yr. all three of my Children were with me.
The buttermilk fried chicken, mac and cheese and collard greens......DELISH!!
Good food, but really bad service. The staff seems to not care about the service either. We were ignored several times, by several people. I had to ask if someone could get our server twice. We weren't even in a hurry. We waited 20 minutes just to order another round of drinks.
Had some of the best fried chicken and mashed potatoes I have ever had. Just wish the buffet foods were kept hotter.
This was one of the BEST dinner experiences I have had... The food was awesome, the staff was very accommodating with everything, they even asked the bar tender to prepare a very unique drink for me( it was awesome ). Although I arrived 30min before closing I never felt rushed, all the food was prepared fresh, even the rolls where fresh and warm. I truly enjoyed myself and will return every time I visit D.C. , in addition I will also recommend this lovely establishment to everyone..... Truly wonderful restaurant.
Good food, great drinks, and perfect jazz music. The receptionist was gentle nice and professional! Nice atmosphere!
I was underwhelmed! I expected to be blown away and the food was very average. I've had better mac and cheese at famous dave's. The crab cakes were nothing special either. I won't be returning, better food and less expensive elsewhere.
Food: Decent to good, anything with andouille made the dish overly spicy Service: Not terrible, but nothing noteworthy either. Unless you count the fact that I ordered a dessert to go and when I pointed it out it looked like the wrong dessert I was told that it was the right dessert even though I was right...it was wrong(did you get all that?) Ambiance: I always believe you make your own ambiance anyway, but nothing there detracted from our experience. Price: Everything in DC is overpriced anyway so....expect it.
Nice place with tasty food! I will visit it again when in Washington next time.
