Georgia Brown's offers a wide variety of soul food and "low country" fare served with Southern hospitality. Select from the traditional dishes of South Carolina, such as fried catfish and seafood gumbo, or be daring and try the shrimp and grits or frogmore stew. In a nod to the health conscious, Georgia Brown's also offers vegetarian versions of the meat-filled entrees. For a special treat, stop in for Sunday brunch, which features live swing jazz and a generous fixed-price menu.

The absolutely best upscale soul food restaurant I have visited. Each time I am in DC, Georgia Brown's is DEFINITELY within my plans to visit. The Buttermilk fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, collard green AND the Peach Sweet Ice Tea....it doesn't get any better!! The atmosphere in itself speaks volumes.
Food was delicious and ambience of live jazz was great
Went here to celebrate my birthday and I loved it. The food was great, the entertainment, the service and atmosphere completed it. Definitely will be back and I came from Georgia so I see the tradition. Keep up the great work and to all a great place to go for brunch. Thank you for a wonderful birthday brunch
Came here several years ago and have been wanting to return. I was not disappointed..excellent food and service. Will visit again when I am in Washington.
Delicious food and outstanding service. The peach cobbler was everything!
Great service and the food was spectacular. The food was served in a timely manner and my drinks had a good amount of liquor in there. I'm highly satisfied and will be returning soon.
Georgia Brown's is a nice change for a meal while in the DC area. Gooooood soulful food, Cajun dishes, the fried chicken has one heck of a scald on it and the callards... (the elders of the group and you know they know how to cook), said they were off the chain. just good southern cooking. K & 15th. ........We all left "fat dumb & happy"...lol
The food was delicious and I will definitely be there again!
Our server, Merle, was excellent! Wonderful food and ambiance. Called ahead and received immediate seating. Great dining experience!
