Georgia Brown's offers a wide variety of soul food and "low country" fare served with Southern hospitality. Select from the traditional dishes of South Carolina, such as fried catfish and seafood gumbo, or be daring and try the shrimp and grits or frogmore stew. In a nod to the health conscious, Georgia Brown's also offers vegetarian versions of the meat-filled entrees. For a special treat, stop in for Sunday brunch, which features live swing jazz and a generous fixed-price menu.

Catfish fingers were awesome .. Onion soup not so great .. I’d go again but a bit pricey if you don’t have a big perdiem..
Food was okay....maybe little over priced for what was served..
I was in DC for business but went to dinner with my daughter. Recommend calling ahead to confirm if reservation is required. Overall experience was excellent!!! The young man that waited on us was great. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and provided great recommendations. Our food and drinks came out in a timely fashion. The food was cooked to perfection. Only personal preference I can complain about is how they set your plate. Second complaint is I wanted lamb chops and they were out. Dessert was fabulous our drinks we... read more
Great dining atmosphere and service. The dessert menu was a bit lackluster. The steak was cooked to perfection. Oh and margaritas were simply amazing !! I will definitely stop in when I’m in DC again.
Great food and atmosphere. Love, love, love the gumbo.
I live in New York and last time I was in DC I enjoy doing the Georgia Brown so when I came back recently to the area Georgia Brown was on my list of places to go. After eating there now I have to say that the food was awful, all the money I spent I was really upset that the food tasted like some hole in the wall Restaurant. With that says I really recommend that if you want soul food don't go to Georgia Brown
Great Jazz Brunch! Food was great although I do wish the cost included the unlimited mimosas as most brunch restaurants do. With that being said, it’s a great choice if you’re ok with spending a little more. PS- The jazz band was great (the ladie has an amazing voice).
Live Music, Sunday Brunch, and Fantastic Service - all three of which left us smiling.
Great food Great Service Great Atmosphere Moderately Price and Great Spirits
