About this business

Georgia Brown's offers a wide variety of soul food and "low country" fare served with Southern hospitality. Select from the traditional dishes of South Carolina, such as fried catfish and seafood gumbo, or be daring and try the shrimp and grits or frogmore stew. In a nod to the health conscious, Georgia Brown's also offers vegetarian versions of the meat-filled entrees. For a special treat, stop in for Sunday brunch, which features live swing jazz and a generous fixed-price menu.

Good food but Very noisy atmosphere waiter hovered over our table the whole meal. Not impressed as stated in the reviews.

Visiting D.C. For The Cherry Blossom Festival and made reservations for Georgia Browns on a recommendation of friends. The food was very good but when you pay more than $30 a person to eat lunch you would think you would not have to ask the waiter for a re-fill every time the glass was empty. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was true southern, but service was lacking for sure.

We always have an excellent dining experience! The menu from appetizers to entrees is consistently wonderful and delicious! The wait staff is very professional and knowledgeable with the menu and wine list. We look forward to our next visit!

The service, the atmosphere, and the food was AMAZING! Would definitely visit again next time we are in the DC area. Collards were so good!

The band was so loud we could not hear the person next to us at the table. I had fried chicken - it was ok but nothing spectacular.

I have been in the DC metro area for over 25 years now. Georgia Brown has been the go to place for brunch over the years. However, yesterday I was a little disappointed with Easter brunch. The food tasted just ok and was luke warm. The live jazz band played for 10 to 15 minutes at a time and kept stopping. I was really disappointed since it was my boyfriend's first time there. I think with the city having so many other "tasty" options yesterday's visit may have been my last.

That was my first time there and I really enjoyed myself. The food was excellent and the music was great too. They also gave us a goodie bag to take home and I love catfish. The rice was extremely good as well. I will attend that restaurant really soon!! My hat off to you Georgia Brown!!
