Georgia Brown's offers a wide variety of soul food and "low country" fare served with Southern hospitality. Select from the traditional dishes of South Carolina, such as fried catfish and seafood gumbo, or be daring and try the shrimp and grits or frogmore stew. In a nod to the health conscious, Georgia Brown's also offers vegetarian versions of the meat-filled entrees. For a special treat, stop in for Sunday brunch, which features live swing jazz and a generous fixed-price menu.

We were a party of four. All very please with the ambiance, the food and the service. Mearl is your man! He is the best and friendliest waiter at Georgia Brown. The food was great and there was plenty of it, and of a large variety. We were all very please and we will be back soon.
Service and atmosphere was excellent. The food was amazing. I highly recommend this fine eatery.
I have celiacs disease so eating out can be a terrifying thing for me but my waiter was so kind and understanding of the condition which usually never happens. He guaranteed there would be no contamination. I of course am always still nervous so tested my salmon meal and torte with my nima gluten sensor which both came out to indeed be gluten free. Great food and service. Thank you for taking the precautions to care about your customers!
The service was awesome. We sat at the bar and watched football. I enjoyed soy croquettes with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach, my wife had catfish mac & cheese and sautéed spinach. We enjoyed our meal. I washed it all down with a nice glass of red wine. We will definitely be back
The service, drinks and entrees were good, but the desserts were awful. I had apple pie and the crust was soggy, not done or was reheated in a microwave, my wife had the peach cobbler which tasted like can peaches with granola cereal dumped on top with a scoop of ice cream.
If you're every in DC, You must try Georgia Brown's. Great Atmosphere, Delicious Food & Channell was our waitress, lovely personality always had that beautiful smile every time she came to our table. Our food came out faster than we thought. Cornbread & Biscuit that's a meal alone. I enjoyed my Devil Shrimp Entrée and for dessert was the Bread Pudding Excellent choice. All Good.
Celebrated the 80th Birthday of a very special Lady and the Georgia Brown's staf treated her like royalty!!! The buffet was so delicious and our take home dinner was an added treat.
