RecommendedHelpful and knowledgeable staff identified the parts I needed to fix a leaky shower faucet valve, found them quickly and offered a couple tips about how to do the repair. Bait and switch TV ads suck. Ad said $100 off, then they said not on the model you bought. Manager was rude. Hung up on me. Telling as many people as I can.
Their sign says “king of water heaters” but when I brought a water heater thermostat in to test today, the woman looked for help, came out of a back room and said “he said we can’t do it.” Can’t test a thermostat? It’s easy! I just needed to double check my testing with a pro. All you need is a multimeter. Takes 2 seconds. Then they tried selling me a replacement that wasn’t even the right size. I used to love Morlan, but with our recent bathroom remodel they didn't step up to the plate. Orders were not placed when received, the wrong parts were delivered (we got a floor mounted toilet rather than a wall mounted one even after the order was verified!). Our contractor has given up and is now seeking what we need elsewhere. This is such a change from years past and very disappointing.
They go above and beyond to help us DIYers. I spent two trips to homedepot to get "universal parts" for an american standard toilet they actually sell. Went there because it is less than a mile from my house and the parts were supposed to be unversal as per american standard website. Ha! Anyway, went to George Morlan (should have done this in the first place). They had some difficulty as their am stan info was of little help, even to them. They had me go back home and get the tank. Joe did a great job removing my failed 15 year old hot water heater on short order and installed a new unit so we could head out camping.
This will be the 3rd time in 3 months they have come out to fix the hot water heater they installed in 2011. First "visit" the water heater wasn't heating the water as hot as it had. The plumber couldn't find anything wrong. He drained some sediment out of tank and turned up heat - $140. Second visit after 2 weeks - replaced thermostat/electric starter for gas. Plumber had to go to store to get a working element - after paying for travel time and part - $200+. Third time ???? They will not participate in home warranty progra... read more
Just drove over an hour to go to their location in Warrenton, Oregon and to only find out it was closed and no longer in business. How about taking that info off of the web you asshats so people are not wasting their time and money thinking you still have a location there 🙄🤔😳
