A week ago today I landed in Cusco for a whirlwind 4 day trip! In such a short time we saw and did alot and this is the way I like to travel! For a quick trip the itinerary was perfect allowing us stops in the Sacred Valley and 2 days in Cusco as well as a full day at Machu Picchu (which exceeded all expectations). Our group of 4 just got back from 9 day Italy with a 7 day western Mediterranean cruise. We had so much fun on the land tour with our guide, Fabio, that we hated to leave the group in Rome and get on the boat! If we could do it over again, I think we would have continued on with Fabio by land to Naples, Sorrento and Capri. Fabio was informative and witty and was always there to assist and answer questions. Just returned from 12 enchanting days in Italy, the entire trip was wonderful and more than we expected. Our Tour Manager Mercedes Medici was the absolute greatest, and made the trip come alive with the history and culture of her country. We are planing and saving for our next trip with Gate 1.
We just completed an 8 day Classical Greece Tour. It was wonderful from beginning to end. The hotels, meals, tours and our Amazing Tour Guide Evgenia made this a memorable trip. Will travel more with Gate 1!
I took one of their trips to Europe last winter and I would not use them again. Our Paris hotel was not in Paris at all. It was a terrible experience in a dangerous area and all they had to say to me was that I should have checked their website first. I didn't know when a company advertised a hotel in a specific city that I had to check their site to make sure it was actually in that particular city!
Have traveled with Gate1 to Italy, Spain and Central Europe. All three trips were outstanding. Excellent guides and service. Have recommended Gate 1 to friends. We plan to travel with them again.
