We did the Ecuador trip 8 days (Miami Special). Amazing trip!!! Our guide Daniel was outstanding.
I am just completing an 8 day tour of Sicily and it has been wonderful. Our tour guide Flavia was extremely knowledgeable and took great care in planning our stops so that we had minimal crowds to deal with. Thanks to her I really feel that I learned a great deal about the history, geology, and culture of this fascinating and beautiful island.The local guides were also wonderful. Our driver was excellent as well. Great trip and highly recommended!
My husband and I just returned from a 12 day/9 cities tour of Turkey and gate 1was amazing. The only hiccup was at the airport in Istanbul where we had to wait about 2 hours for everyone to arrive from different flights. After traveling over 10 hours it would have been nice to get to a hotel asap but it wasn't a huge problem. From then on Gate 1 took care of everything! I recently came back from an 8 day tour to London, Paris and Rome. Everything went well and was exceptional. I loved the fact that I saved 10% on trip by paying cash. Although during entire trip we took 5 flights (originally leaving from Tampa to NYC) there were never any confusions or problems with flights. We had a shuttle transfer waiting for us at every location except in Paris (which I didn't like, but it wasn't offered). Our hotel rooms were nice and the tours were as advertised. Great experience. My family and I all had THE BEST VACATION ever! We traveled to Ecuador with Gate 1, and every day was filled with fun new adventures, our tour guide Antonio Reascos made the whole experience. He was hands down the best tour guide we have ever had. He made the trip exciting and fun every day, and his knowledge, and passion about his country was inspiring. If you ever decide to travel to Ecuador, book a trip with Gate 1 and ask for Antonio Reascos!
Gate one booked our flights; first they sent us flight options from Tucson (where we live) but-- since the connections were horrific-- my mom called them and had them book us via Phoenix. She got a receipt that said there was an airport pick up fee..wouldn't you assume you'd paid that? So we arrived in Italy-- exhausted, jet lagged and without knowing the language-- and no one was there. So far so good with our first Gate 1 Travel tour. We are currently in Ireland, and our tour director and bus driver are very knowledgeable and helpful. I especially like the fact that this company offers tours of shorter duration for those of us needing a break of just 8 or 9 days. Hotels have been in convenient locations with all rooms thus far clean and so very comfortable. Tanks a million, Gate 1 !!!
First time with Gate 1. My son and I went on a 4-day Northern Lights tour in Iceland. We were not disappointed. We experienced a night of awesome light show on our first trip to the designated site. Soffia and Petre (driver) were so gracious that as we were driving away from the designated area where we saw only a little bit of Northern lights, we started seeing dancing lights in purple, pink and green. Highly recommend! I went to Colombia for 5 days trip and our tour guide and accommodations and suggestions were great . And a great price of course ! I would travel again with Gate 1
