I'm from NC, and only get up this way once a year or do. But I always look forward to my visit to GO. Been there twice already (lunch yesterday, and dinner yesterday.) Food is delicious, especially the Guinness Beef Stew and Fish & Chips.
This place is a 5star cluster f. Tons of empty tables and our party was told there was an hour wait and given the option to sit at the bar with a baby. Also, I tried to give a less star rating and it wouldn't allow me to post.
It was very nice. Old of course, nice decor. I had the Shepherds Pie and my husband had the Haddock fish fry. Delicious. All the food looked good!
Delicious and perfect as always ! Shepherd's Pie is my favorite but I decided to try the fish and chips. WOW, best ever, even better than what I had in Scotland. Never fails to impress me with the quality of food. The salad is fresh and wonderful too.
The BEST pub around! Authentic and delicious food, wonderful staff, friendly atmosphere, and so much more! I visit every Friday and will continue to do so for many more to come!

The food the service and the beer were great! It was our first time and it will not be our last. Next time you are in Gettysburg be sure to stop in, you will not be dissaponted.
Our favorite place to go - as far as pubs go, it's perfect. Aesthetically it's the perfect mix of classy/casual/homey/quaint... you walk in and it feels like they've been waiting for you. Food is *amazing* - only bad part is deciding whether to try something new or enjoy a usual favorite (salmon/risotto dish is phenomenal). Staff is friendly and helpful, no complaints at all and we've been there a dozen times. I'm glad it's a half hour from home, or we'd go way too often! :)
My husband and I love the Garryowen! We love the food and the cozy upstairs for drinks.
