From Northern VA, found this place from its rating. Very cute place, amazing bloody marys, black and tans, and Irish onion soup. Was sooo excited for my Reuben: Probably one of the worst Reubens I have ever had, very sad, the whisky burger was also not great, and my daughter ordered chicken strips that were like hockey pucks. Not sure if it was just a bad day for the cook, but first impression of the actual food was very poor!
Great atmosphere and food was out of this world!! ILsa is a fun, energetic and knows her stuff!!! We will definitely be back
We've been routine customers, but very disappointed to see this posted by ABC 27 Inspection Report "The Garryowen Irish Pub racked up the most violations with 15. Inspectors observed food employees observed food employees not wearing proper hair restraints, the food mixer was “not clean to sight and touch,” there was a build-up of black residue on equipment, and a fruit fly in a $117 bottle of whiskey meant the whole thing had to be thrown out."
Stopped in lastnight for the first time. We were greeted by a nice man who sat us immediately. Our server came to the table with a smile on his face and took our drink and appetizer order and brought them both out very very quick! We got the Irish nachos which were pretty damn good! Our entrees came out and it was one of the best meals I have had at a restraunt in a very long time! I was impressed and we will make the treck back there very soon! Thank you for making our date night headache free.
Spent St Patrick's Day at Garryowen Pub. - as always we were greeted and catered to by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was wonderful, but then again it always is, and the music first class. Thank you for the hospitality
Our favorite place to eat when we are in Gettysburg. We look forward to it and have never been disappointed!
This is an AWESOME place with such GREAT traditional Irish food!! My husband took me there for my 40th birthday in Feb and I can't wait to go back! I had the shepherds pie and it was phenomenal!!!!! Would highly recommend this place!!!!
Went there for a beer and burger with my husband and we loved it! Thinking of bringing our son out to celebrate his birthday on St. Patrick's Day!
Perfect. The food and the service. Loved the crab bisque. Fish and chips and the bangers and mash were excellent.
