Gardiner Animal Hospital is one of the last family run mixed veterinary practices around. Mixed veterinary practice means we take care of animals large and small, from your house cat to your 2500lbs draft horse. Gardiner Animal Hospital is the only practice locally with an on staff grief counselor. Dealing with pet loss is hard our pets are our family. Once monthly we offer group counseling sessions.

I brought my two dogs in for the second time and the attitude we were met with by the vet was discouraging and frustrating. The appointment started off with the specific vet telling me that my dogs need to be more socialized yet could not take the time to look over my dogs’ charts to see that she prescribed them anxiety medication because of how nervous they get at the vet. My business with them started out well and the fact that they were a “hospital” gave me some piece of mind. Their staff was pleasant and professional. Now that my dog may have broken his leg, they are telling me to go to another place. When I called and asked if they were a hospital and if they do imaging in their office the man in the phone just repeated I should go somewhere else. I was recommended here by a friend to get a surgery and biopsies done for a couple of cysts on my dog Bruce, because my primary vet does not do surgery. Unfortunately it needed to be done sooner than expected and they squeezed me in the day I called! The entire staff was extremely patient and friendly despite how anxious my dog was. Prices were extremely reasonable and unlike most animal hospitals they do not try to hit you with random fees and a crazy bill. We were spoken to and explained about everything on the estimate. I absolutely reccomend them! Everyone in the office is incredibly professional and friendly. They are very accomadating as well with your dogs needs. They try their best to make it a good experience for the animals, but most animals dont like the vet so it's tough. The vets and techs are very easy to talk to and actually take the time to listen to you. They're very patient with my anxious and aggressive dog and I'm very thankful for them as she is too.
I recently switched over to Gardiner Animal Hospital because it seemed that my previous vet was more concerned with profit than with the well-being of my dog (based on multiple occurrences which I won’t bother to get into here). My experience at Gardiner Animal Hospital has been very good so far and my dog just had a surgery today (lump removal and teeth cleaning) which went very well. The staff are so caring and helpful! Plus they are open late which makes it easier for me to bring Peanut in.
I wouldn’t trust this place all we asked for was a paper say what the doctor had told us about a dog we had taken in that we could no longer keep and the person at the desk said we had to wait to talk to the doctor directly and we did and he’s had a bad attitude and very defiant about giving us a paper with what he had told us in a office visit we had went to like he had something to hide then we found out they released information they had no right to release they didn’t ask we didn’t sign anything given them permission to ... read more
