Fired a 10 year employee Maurice Rucker, because he didn't take the racist abuse a customer put on him??? I won't be shopping at Home Depot again.
I'd give a minus star if possible! How could you fire a person, for this? An employee of ten years no less. What you should've done, was give him a promotion and a raise. How about hiring him back?

I think your store management is in need of replacement. What a horrible way to treat an employee that is/was being verbally abused by a racist customer! I sure hope the police were called and charges filed against that horrible individual. You should be supportive of a loyal employee and consider the circumstances before firing them. You need to fix this. I will not shop at Home Depot again without a public apology/acknowledgement of this mismanagement.
Went into the store today and heard about what happened to Maurice- not just the abuse he took from a belligerent and racist customer, but your response in firing him. With all the talk of companies doing training to teach their employees about racial bias and sexual harassment- where is the protection for your employees? Home Depot sides with white supremacists and fascists over its own employees. A white supremacist customer unleashed a racist tirade against one of Home Depot's employees, and when the employee politely stood up for himself, Home Depot fired him!
