A passionIn the late 1920s Edward Gallrein Sr. started a dairy farm business in Jefferson County Ky. He started with only about 17 head and over many years it grew to over 400. His son William Gallrein Sr. continued the family tradition of dairy farming and in 1972 purchased a farm in Shelby County. The dairy business had grown to the point of milking cows around the clock! wind was extremely cold blowing thru the barn. had to go to my car in middle of service...could not stop shaking...they were supposed to have heaters thru out the barn, but none where it was coldest. hope to never be invited to another wedding there, esp on such a cold and windy day.
I love all the options for fun here! You could spend the entire day and do everything, or just an hour and still feel better from spending some time on the farm. I love how quiet it is out in the country.
It's my third or fourth year my little family has gone and we love it! Great family fun and great views!
