We ordered 2 starters, breaded asparagus with sauce on them, & crab cake. We shared among 4 adults. Both were outstanding. The crab cake truly was 90% crab & not all filler!! Our dinners consisted of Texas Redfish on a half shell. Excellent!!! Yellow Tuna was excellent! Clam Bisque was divine! Desserts were a chocolate cake with ice cream & chocolate mouse, & creme brûlée. All were excellent! All the wait staff was superb & informative! We will be back!!
Great food Tuna was excellent and Snapper was outstanding. Service is always excellent. This place is a must visit every time I am in Galveston. Nostalgic. Feels like walking into one of the fine restaurants of times past.
A landmark for 105 years on Galveston Island. Exceptional seafood in Gulf Coast tradition, as well as some specialty dishes exclusive to Gaido's. Also, what may be the best pecan pie in the galaxy! My husband has been coming here for the last 60 years and has never had a bad meal, nor have I. With white table cloths, a view of Galveston beach, excellent service and finger bowls, a visit to Gaido's is a fine dining experience.
A good restaurant always starts with the service. Arthur Baird was an astonishingly good waiter. Having worked in the industry, I always try to judge my server by several criteria. How many tables are they working? How attentive are they? And, how do they handle the intangibles? Arthur had at least 6 tables and it seemed like he only had one, Mine! This is by far my #1 place for Seafood and excellent service. They have treated Sharyn and Me as their best customers. I highly recommend eating here.

Everyone in our group found the food amazing. Perfectly seasoned. The calamari appetizer was the best ever along with the bisque that accompanied it. Vinnie is the best server....knowledgeable and helpful for tourists like us.
