I have always received excellent care at grmc except for tonight. Wannabe Dr.Dudley dismissed my issues as nothing..even with a nephrostomy tube bleeding at the insertion site where it had been pulled loose he would not get images to see how far it had moved from inside my kidney. My blood pressure stayed around 165/110 for the 3 hours i was there. We had to pretty much beg them to cover my tube so that the insertion site was not completely exposed. I had surgery at GR earlier this week. I am so impressed with how well I was taken care of. My procedure had me very nervous and apprehensive. From pre-op testing to discharge I was cared for by amazing Drs, nurses and staff. Each person I came in contact with took the time to notice I was nervous and spent time with me easing my worries. That meant the most.
Both my boys 2.5 year old and 5 year old have had Tubes and Adenoids removed here in the last 2 weeks and they were hands down amazing in Day Surgery! My 5 year old has Autism and is non verbal and was not an easy case and they all went above and beyond for us and him!! highly highly recommend! Thank you all!
3rd floor waiting for baby deliveries is nasty no paper Towels trash overflowing In floor so nasty for only place families can wait while babies in Etowah county are delivered! Outta be ashamed
I have been throughly impressed by the caring professionalism of the nursing staff for the most part! There's always one or two anywhere that aren't as good as the rest.
This hospital has one of the highest markups in the country, yet it is severely short-staffed. Today 10/31/2019, my poor nurse is trying to care for 30 patients by herself! Everything takes hours to get done, even a bandage.

Everyone here was extremely kind to me - all the way from the ER throughout my journey up here to the 8th floor. Each person I encountered was kind , outgoing , and bubbly - from the nurse practitioners and nurses , to the drs and specialists , as well as housekeeping and food nutrition. Gadsden Regional currently has a stellar team for sure - and their smiling faces made a frightening experience easier . Many thanks !
Been waiting 3 hours on a cat scan for severe abd pain and a 101.2 fever-the order was never put in!! SUCKS!!
