I’m sad to say that our experience with GRMC has continued to be a negative one over the past several years. While the doctors and nurses work hard to treat the patients, they apparently do not get the final say. It seems like the insurance companies and the case managers hold all of the power, and they rule with little compassion and consideration for the patient. Recommendedwent through Gadsden regional for my labor and birth. They are so kind their all the nurses and doctors. I especially liked the nurse and doctor that delivered my son. I highly recommend Dr. Phillips for delivery and throughout pregnancy. He is so experienced in what he does. I had complete confidence in him and my nurse

Gadsden Regional is a joke!! They have 2 different styles of thermometers that they are using to check temps. The one on the wall read mine to be 99.7. Got told to sit down and would recheck in a few. Rechecked again with same thermometer, showed same thing. I DEMANDED to be checked by the hand held one. It read 96.7. I sat there for 10-15 minutes that I could have been seeing my brother. I pointed out the discrepancy between the 2 thermometers, head of security got smart...so I got smart back. I am FURIOUS!!!!! I came to Gadsden regional to get my child seen about a rubberband stuck up her nose! They just tried to force me to covid swab her (she was just swabbed a few weeks ago so why would I put her through that again?) I told them no. That I’m not here because she is sick. That they’re not sticking a swab up her nose when she already has something stuck in her nose! What sense does that even make? They called several staff members in the room with us to all try and force me to allow them to do a covid swab on he... read more

I’d like to give a big shout out and thank you to some great nurses ‼️ I was recently in the hospital for a heart cath which came back good, however I developed a blood clot and dissection and to have emergency surgery to repair ! My nurses on 9th floor not only took excellent care of me but also gave me great emotional support ! They stayed with me and held my hand and wiped my tears before going to surgery because my family wasn’t able to be with me and I was very nervous and anxious about my surgery !! This place is a joke. I have been trying to get discharged for 2 days now and they won’t do it. They will let me leave if I accept responsibility for the bill is the only way. Don’t come here if you can avoid it.
