I have had them slow down my DSL internet service twice now when they are offering a service that they are trying to get me to use. The latest is upgraded internet speed. I spend hours with technical people trying to fix my internet connection issue and the last one told me that 2.1 mbps was a reasonable speed for $40/month. They offer new service for up to 12 mbps for $20/month right now! This company is really shady! There should be no surprise by their rating on BBB.
Frontier Communcations service is less than poor, it’s non-existent. Hold times and tech support by phone can be measured in hours. Phone tech uses same script each and every time which proves a waste to customers who have been through the routine before and performed all trouble shooting tasks prior to call. After hour(s) on phone tech is scheduled days ahead because Frontier has no same day service even for calls by 9am. Frontier does not have the personnel resources to service customer base.
If I ran my business this way, I would be out of business. My father passed away in January of 2019 and we promptly cancelled the account. We were naive in thinking everything was taken care of, until we received a ridiculous invoice of $400+ dollars, now being "sent to collections". We had not once received an invoice between the cancellation data and the collections date. Frontier Communications shut off phone service on an account that was paid in full and without reason or notification. It took 24 phone calls in a 28 hour period to get the account active again. The final explanation was that an agent of Frontier had made a mistake and they apologized, In my 70+ years I have never found such ineptitude by Customer Service Representatives, who could not help resolve the issue because "that is handled by another department". Cancelled my service in the middle of a billing period but got charged the full amount. I was told I would be pro rated when I disconnected but then was told that they have to charge the full amount. Watch out for this company, they lie and are very shady.
Absolutely horrible customer services combined with vastly overpriced services equals ZERO stars in my view. Every interaction I have had with this bunch of thieving nincompoops has been excruciating. I am currently in the ninth month of a billing dispute that I was told would be resolved within a week at most. $300+ of my hard earned cash sitting in their till, and it was THEIR mistake. May they all rot in hell!
No service for over a week. No tech for 2+ weeks. Call and cancel 4 days into billing cycle. Charging me for remainder of cycle even though they are not providing a service.
They were fine while we had them. Holy moly trying to cancel was another story. We canceled on the last day of our contract. Over a month later they sent us a bill. When we called they tried to tell us we canceled a day later saying that the cancelation can “sometimes take 24 hours” therefore we owed for a month we didn’t use. It’s like the make up the rules as they go to suit their needs. Very disingenuous company. Will never work with them again.
Advertised as "Service you can count on." The internet service constantly goes out. Customer service is not helpful and will not discount for the terrible service. Now, you call their number and go through the proper menus and it tells you to call another number. After the third number, I gave up.
