When I called I told them it was an old furnace, asked if they could send a person that knew about those times, game model and all info and they said they where all qualified. When the tech went there, he stared at the equipment for 3 minutes, did not take a single piece of tool out and said “ I don’t feel comfortable with this, I ll call the office”, he did not know about the brand and was pretty old, everything was original except for the valve was updated , he left and had to pay half an hour ( min) and the drive. Our tech went out on this extremely old furnace that was literally in pieces (we do have photos to document this). The second that we touched that furnace and began working on it, would have been the second that we were responsible for it. This furnace should have been replaced years ago. It is in very bad shape, and is horribly inefficient and outdated. We offered to refund the half hour minimum fee towards a new unit. The landlord declined an estimate to replace the unit and get that money towards a new unit.
I called for a service call, the guy came in, turned up my furnace told me I had a problem with my blowers I said no I don't I have a problem with my drain pan, he opened the furnace looked inside and said yes, it's the drain pan. Closed it up, all in 5 minutes and told me it's going to be $143. I told him the office said $36 for the call, and $57.00 for every half hour. He agree then, I paid the money up front and he said I'll get a receipt the next day. And he'll call on the drain pan replacement parts. No price quote, no ... read more
We were very unhappy with Fritch’s customer service. We called because we had our air conditioner serviced and the serviceman demanded payment immediately on site by check from the person at the house. We have had service at other homes in the area by other businesses and we have never had to pay immediately. This was not stated when we scheduled the service call. And there is a paybill button on their website. And when we called to give the lady at fritch’s feedback she would not take any feedback and hung up on us. This is... read more
Joe Milton sold us a new furnace, air conditioner, and humidifier. Top of the line stuff. We use air conditioning when it gets in the 90's which is a couple times a year. Every year we would call because the air was not working properly. A service man would come out every year and fiddle around. We were told we could not expect more than 10 degrees of cooling! Do NOT recommend! They charged us $400 and the guy didn’t do ANYTHING. He was rude, unprofessional, and doesn’t know what he’s doing. Also, the owner is rude when trying to talk to her.
I worked in the Ameren Energy Efficiency Program for almost 10 years, with 5 of those years spent performing Residential Inspections for customers. I inspected over 2500 HVAC systems during that time and I can tell you that no company in this area keeps their customer's equipment maintained and running longer than Fritch. I would see service record tags on the units going back to the early 80's showing every call.
