Very positive experience with all the staff. Busy morning, about 20 patients waiting, took 2.5h to confirm/deal with my minor fracture - not bad. Parking within the hospital site is iffy, but there are spaces not far down several nearby roads going out of the town. A valuable department taking pressure off much busier/more distant A+E at James Cook.

I came to the UTC this morning (29th July) with a painful knee injury following a fall on the NY Moors. Everything about the experience was excellent from the reception through to the X-ray and the encounter with the medic. A great experience which reassured me that nothing was broken and gave me a treatment plan going forward. Nicholas Henshall

Yesterday afternoon 27th July i visited the department to have a rash on my lower legs checked over. It was really busy. And although a long waiting time the staff on duty were marvellous and informative when i was being seen to. Thank you to the UTC team cheers Bryankeddie

Reception polite took details. Triage quick took observations and gained history. 90 minute wait for GP. We were informed of time scales. Water/squash on offer. GP friendly, took good history, gained consent and gave a detailed rationale for treatment and management. This service was organised friendly and helpful.

On holiday in the area and became unwell. Went to UTC and was seen by such lovely caring clinical staff who were also having to cover reception due to admin staff shortages. My thanks to you all.
