Great little ice cream spot...we went last night when it was a little chilly so there was no line...It was a great choice for our last dinner in Philly...It's our traveling tradition to have dessert for dinner on 1 night of our trip...We were all pleased with our small ice creams: 2 coffee ice creams, chocolate chip and banana with chocolate syrup...Remember, it's cash only so plan accordingly and enjoy!���
Hesitated when we saw the HUGE line but it was so worth the wait! My carrot cake ice cream was beyond amazingly rich, fun and unique! Yes, it was a bit pricey, but I was paying for the experience and as I business owner, I recognize how much the owner of Franklin’s puts into each detail. The staff was courteous, clean, fast and willing to explain. I’ll be back on my next trip to the city!

When giving up ice cream for Lent is over...NO BETTER WAY to indulge than Franklin Fountain. They have THE BEST ice cream, homemade hot fudge (like my grandmother used to make) and homemade whipped cream! Soooo SO GOOD!

Ice cream was amazing, the old time outfits and old cash register were a nice touch, but ice cream was expensive AF!!!
I was at Franklin fountain last night around 11:30pm The gentleman who helped me couldn't have been better. He helped me find a flavor since the smores one I came for was unfortunately only seasonal and no longer on the menu. He also was able to put my sundae on ice so it didn't melt on my 25 minute drive home. And yes I'm a repeat customer who travels 25 minutes each way for ice cream from Franklin! Not just ice cream! The best hot chocolate I’ve ever had.
Lots of fun and great ice cream! I had the full sized banana split, and it was great. I wish it had been in a dish for eating in, but it was the same container as the to go.
