We saw the line down the block and passed by a few times. But finally had to see what it was all about. Wow!!! The ice cream was amazing! I had two scoops...Maple Pecan & Carmelized Banana, & my boyfriend had two scoops...Apple Butter & Pumpkin. Delicious! And the nostalgic atmosphere is just lovely. The staff were friendly. We'll definitely go back the next time we visit Philadelphia.
If you happen to be in Olde Towne Philly and are hankerin' for a sweet treat you need to stop at The Franklin Fountain. Handmade ice cream that is so rich and creamy. You won't find better anywhere! Lots of flavors so no one who loves ice cream will be disappointed.
Absolutely delicious! And, they give you huge portions so don't go there if you want a measly little ice cream cone!
Very nice and the ice cream was delicious... customer service was quick and it was worth finding an ATM being from Louisiana and seeing the cash only sign... 💛
there are always lines going out the door and for good reason, the ice cream is only part of the experience, the store is set up like an old time ice cream parlor and the staff wear soda jerk costumes. its cash only and if you are lucky you can get a seat outside to indulge. definitely a must for Olde City Philadelphia

Amazing ice cream and milkshakes. Only drawback was the price. We got 2 milkshakes and a Ice cream cone and it was $27!!!!!!! 😳😳😳 Although it was really good. It's a 1 and done for Us. 😞😞
