I had OBA installed a basement gutter and the entire process was smooth from the initial inspection by (Chad) to the installation by the crew of Tommy H, Kyle R and Brandon H. They explained what was being done before, during and after the job completion plus left everything clean when they were finished. No shady sales tactics, top-notch customer service and quality work! I highly recommend them..

Fair disclosure - we have not had work done by Tar Heel, but BEWARE and get a number of bids from area companies with good track records. Their bid on our work was 3x higher than other comparable companies. They wanted to use 8 piers and did not ask for an independent engineer's report they way other companies did. All other bids recommended 2 piers with exactly the same guarantee. When we didn't respond for a week, they magically came up with another solution that was much cheaper but didn't have the same guarantee. Perhaps... read more
The AFS crew of **, **, and ** were prompt, efficient, and did an excellent job of repairing the cracked wall in our basement with the AFS wall anchor system. They worked very well as a team and we were especially impressed with the knowledge and skill of the foreman, **.
As part of our home sale process, we had multiple waterproofing companies come and assess our foundation. John B came out and gave an honest straightforward assessment, which gave us the peace of mind knowing that we aren't selling a home with any issues to a new family (something very important to my wife and me, especially given the fact that we have two young children). I just had a major waterproofing job installed on May 11-12, 2020. Rich ******, the foreman was especially professional, considerate of my space, and cleaned up as he went along. He answered all of my questions clearly and with respect. I am seriously impressed with the amount of hard work that he and his crew put into this job. Basement authority exceeded my expectations. I has an issue with a dehumidifier that was under warranty and they replaced it with no hassle. Service Tech. Mitchell ******** came out and was professional, helpful and informative. Very pleased.
