great place to stay, beware no cell service, you have to use the resort wifi, and the WiFi is broken down in the campground

We’ve been coming here since through-hiking the AT years ago, and we always enjoy our visit. However, the room we were given in the A Garden Bldg. was pretty tired. Some attention to maintenance is sorely needed on the whole building: weeds growing from the gutters, a sputtering A/C unit, dilapidated walkway going to the main lodge building and landscaping around the building needs work. In short, a good facelift and more attention to detail would make this resort a much more appealing place to visit.

cabin full of mold and mildew. looked nothing like the pictures. staff in lodge was rude and uncaring.

We've had our retreat at Fontana for the past 2 years. They do a wonderful job of accommodating our needs which includes: a hospitality room, a place to paint, rooms and food. The food is good and all the staff are friendly and professional.
