Wait is absolutely RIDICULOUS for no good reason – Came in with family to try AFTER seeing the good reviews; now I am thinking all the good reviews are from fanboys. I stood in line LITERALLY 21 minutes with only seven (7) orders in front of me. What could possibly take so long to take an order? Single topping medium pizza w/two sodas costs $16.85, kinda high to me... You place the order with one person who shuffles you down to another person who processes the order, who also doubles as drink giver, salad plate provider, and... read more
Wouldn't Stay Down – Both times I have had Flying Pie pizza it made me ill. Literally. About 30 mins after ingesting the food, it came right back up. I do not normally have a weak stomach. I almost had to leave work it was so bad. I suspect the culprit may have been undercooked toppings. I tore open a piece of sausage and it was still pink in the middle. They pile toppings on so thick it is a wonder the pizza even gets done in the middle. Soggy, heavy slices cannot be picked up, the meats are greasy, and the onions are gross... read more
good pizza – The pizza here is one of the best . Only problem is everyone else knows how good the pizza is so it is always really busy and hard to find seating.
Huge toppings! – The pizza here is the best around. The toppings are HUGE, the crust is very tasty and not too crispy but not to weak either. If you haven't eaten here it is a must. If you can try to get the pizza to go because it can be hard to find seating.
Awesome Pizza! – The pizza here is so great! You havn't had pizza until you eat at Flying Pie! Huge portions and lots of toppings! You have to try it atleast once!
Best Pizza in Portland – Not pretentious, just great pizza and you don't wait in line for an hour like another pizza place on Hawthorne.
Fantastic Pizza!! – It was as good as if I had made it myself at home! Lots of selection, whole wheat crust offered as a healthier selection. It was the best pizza I have had in a long time. Better than alot of chains roundtable, pizza hut etc. The staff was friendly and the food took the amount of time I would expect for a pizza that thick. Delicious.
Awesome!! – Awesome pizza!!!!!!! Awesome service!! Definitely worth your money! Huge pizzas with lots o' toppings! We loved it!!
Time saving lunch! – I eat lunch there at least once a week. For about $6.50 I get a slice with MY choice of toppings, a salad (which I also get to make from their salad bar), breadstick too!) and a unlimited soda. I always end up taking half of my slice back to the office because I get soooo full. And the best part is I call it in ahead and it's ready 3 minutes after I walk in. (Which is about the time I sit down after making my salad.) Happy Me!
