Waste of money – After reading such great reviews, had to try it! We love pizza. My personal fave is a traditional NY pie...thin crispy crust with a topping or two. I really would have better enjoyed a frozen pizza from the grocery store than the one we got here. We ordered a thin crust with pepperoni. The crust wasn't that thin, there was goops of sauce and the flavor was kind of funky in a not so fresh sort of way. I really don't understand the rave reviews because this place is very average. The service is weird too. How ... read more

Yuck Is Right – Wow - I am absolutely dumbfounded as to how this pizza could have rated #2 in the readers choice vote. Is the competition really that scarce? Both my wife and I thought it was terrible.... and I mean really - how hard is it to make a decent pizza? You know they say pizza is like making love - even when it's bad it's good. Not in this case. The cheese was not fully melted, it was WAY to salty, the dough was over kneaded and thus tough and chewy, there was no unique flavor - I really cant come up with any redee... read more

Yuck! – My husband and I go out all the time.... almost every night. We eat pizza alot too. The pizza hear was just not good to us. But the worst was how we were treated. My husband went to pick up our pizza and they guy wouldn't give it to him because he didn't have his receipt with him. The place wasn't busy at all... so it's not like a huge amount people were there and they couldn't tell we had ordered a pizza just a few minute's earlier at the beginning of the line. They guy told my husband... We don't give the pizza to ... read more

yeah, it takes awhile to get your pie..but dam, it's totally worth the wait! – I have been gettin pizza here for years at the Stark Street store. Never had a bad pizza. Perfer to order ahead and get it to go cuz this pizza does not come quick. The Stromboli is the BEST pizza I have ever had. don't even try to argue with me. It is the best. anywhere. if you go there and then order, it will take awhile. I think kids mite not like this kind of pie. It's not like a pizza hut pie. This is amazing. And they have Drop Top on tap wh... read more

Currently my favorite in Portland! – So I'd have to say I'm a bit of a pizza snob. I've worked in pizza as a youth for years and have come to respect the art and business of pizza making. I feel as if I'm on and never ending quest to seek out the best pizza in Portland. There is a fierce competition in Portland for the best pie and I believe that Flying Pie is the best I have had in town. Now I'm not saying it's the best pizza I have ever had, I'm just saying its currently the best in town. I feel the best way to judge a pie... read more

THERE IN NO BETTER PERIOD! – Being from the east coast I've had too many pizzas to ever recall. Not to worry..... I forgot all of them because of this GREAT pizza establishment! FLYING PIE should be recalled Flying High because that is how my taste buds feel when I eat this incredible pie! I never leave hungry because this is no small pizza or are they stingy with the toppings........It is FAN-TAS-TIC PIZZA! YAB - A - DAB - A -DOUGH!

Never again – I used to love flying pie, went there for years. The last few times I went I noticed a drop-off in quality and service, so I gave it a 6 month wait or so. Well after dining last night, never again! First the minor: My order was completely botched. OK, and frankly it wasn't really that crowded but the crust was wrong as were two toppings. Hey I can live with that as long as the pizza was good. Well the pizza was no good! It didn't sit right from the beginning, but really waking up with violent GI distress )at 4 ... read more

Great Pizza!!! – Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Obviously the guy who wrote the last review sounds as if he should probably start going to anger management classes. How long did he expect the pizza to take to bake? 5, 10 minutes? Sounds like someone has had too much Dominos. Or maybe he should have had a beer instead of soda to mellow him out a bit. Their prices are good and the staff is very friendly. Flying Pie and Apizza Scholls are the two best places for pizza in Portland. No doubt!

Wait is absolutely RIDICULOUS for no good reason – Came in with family to try AFTER seeing the good reviews; now I am thinking all the good reviews are from fanboys. I stood in line LITERALLY 21 minutes with only seven (7) orders in front of me. What could possibly take so long to take an order? Single topping medium pizza w/two sodas costs $16.85, kinda high to me... You place the order with one person who shuffles you down to another person who processes the order, who also doubles as drink giver, salad plate provider, and... read more
