Top Notch Experience – I just got my hair cut by a stylist named Brian @ Floyd's Barbershop on Melrose. I have hair long hair down my back, & he did a beautiful job. I hightly recommend him to anyone. It cost me under $50 dollars to get my hair cut, washed, and styled! Run to the salon... :)
VERY BAD HAIRCUT – I had the worst hair cut ever! If you are looking for a clipper cut where the guards are like training wheels and it's almost inpossible to mess up, then maybe this is your place. If you are looking for any kind of style...forget it! Uneven very bad haircut! NEVER RETURNING!
Great service, great people, great locations – I've always had a good experience at Floyd's on Santa Monica and the one on Melrose. The prices are very reasonable and no one tries to pressure you into anything. No one is snotty...if anything the stylists totally rock out and wouldn't put up with such behavior. The music and visuals are great. So is the free internet access, which I love to use when I wait for my color to set. worth the trip – Had a great haircut, not a long wait and was cheap, if you're in the melrose area and need a cut, I would definitely endorse it.
find a stylist you like and stick with them – I've been seeing Paige at the Santa Monica location for over a year -- she cuts my hair great everytime. I used to spend $45+tip at my last stylist over at Piero over in Santa Monica. Even with tip, Floyd's cost half the price! ($19+tip). The massage is just icing on the cake. The trick here is to find a stylist that you like and can cut your hair correctly and you can't go wrong.
lazy! – i went to the one in santa monica, and it was a huuge disappointment. the lady who did my hair spent like 10 minutes max. first, she told me to stand up. so, i stood there in the middle of the salon with everybody staring at me as she cut my hair. it was very uncomfortable. i asked to have 4 inches cut, and it looked like she had only taken off 1/2 an inch. then, i asked for layers. she barely cut two strands of hair, if any at all, and when the cashier asked if i had gotten layers (they charge more for layers), i co... read more
YO! Mac daddy Barbershop – This place definitely isn't your Fathers barbershop!A unique atmosphere not suited for everyone. People are very friendly even if thay have a earing in there lip. Big points for the uniqueness .
