A former US Navy debarkation point built in 1942, Fleet Landing lay vacant after World War II. Located on the eastern waterfront side of the Historic District, the 6000 square-foot (557 square-meter) concrete building was purchased by Tradd Newton in 2004. He opened this one-story, nautical-themed restaurant with Chef Drew Hedlund, whose menu includes classic and contemporary Southern fare, with an emphasis on seafood. Nice atmosphere, good food, the server was nice enough but never told us his name.

Let me just say from the time we ordered drinks at the bar until we were seated,excellent service. Our server Mike was very friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable, the food was extremely delicious and well prepared, great food on the waterfront in Charleston SC what a way to end the day.

Favorite place downtown! Good food and drinks and we almost always see dolphins when we're there! They have awesome bloody marys!!

Today was my 2nd Visit(Shrimp and Grits). The Food was Awesome as the first time(Fried Oyster Po boy Sandwich). The views from the dining area are Magnificent! Not only that Fleet Landing is walking distance to the Market!

The shrimp and grits were the best! Did not care for the fried green tomatoes, the combo of crab meat salad and tomatoes was just weird. Would definitely return if in area agsin
