A former US Navy debarkation point built in 1942, Fleet Landing lay vacant after World War II. Located on the eastern waterfront side of the Historic District, the 6000 square-foot (557 square-meter) concrete building was purchased by Tradd Newton in 2004. He opened this one-story, nautical-themed restaurant with Chef Drew Hedlund, whose menu includes classic and contemporary Southern fare, with an emphasis on seafood. This place doesn't disappoint. Beautiful setting , warm and competent wait staff, best bellinis on Planet Earth , and, even better, food I will dream about until my next visit . Yes, it's that good .

Location off the water was great. Service was very good. Food was so so. She crab soup was plated warm, not hot at all and we had to send it back. My Trigger Fish was overly seasoned and I had to scrape it off in order to enjoy the fresh white meat of the fish. Wife had Seaford Alfredo. Alfredo sauce was excellent and shrimp, scallops and muscles were fresh (although not abundant). With all our research on Charleston and the hyperbolic mentions of all the great seafood and restaurants, I guess our expectations were a little ... read more
