Trying to hard t be cool... – I live locally and do not find the arrogance of the doorman/ the owner / hostess worth frequenting on a regular basis. I call often to make reservations, they will tell me they are booked solid and I will then walk over and be sat immediately. Does that make sense? The bartenders are great though...
Never Again... – At Firefly, the food is horrendous, the outside/inside restaurant is smokey, the menu is limited, the staff lacks graciousness and the overall dining experience is one of the worst I have ever had.
Disappointing! – Other than the place looking OK, the staff is attractive....but boy is the food & service LESS than medicore! Even worse, the service was sub-par. And the management need to learn what man and customer service mean!! When you live in a city like LA, with restaurant popping up all the time, you have to strive to stay on top. I would be surprised if Firefly can outlast the accomplished restaurants in the city. I would be embarrassed if I worked at, managed, or owned this place...
Terrible – This was truly an unenjoyable dining experience. From the terrible service, to the poor food, to the rude attitude of the restaurant staff when we brought all this to their attention, this restaurant not only shouldn't but can't last long in this competetive market. Not Worth the hassle to be in the Valley – If I have to deal with these morons in the Valley for this type of service and prices I can just go over the hill and do it at the really HOT places. Wouldn't bother coming back here again. I was with another couple so 2 girls and 2 guys. The guy at the front door would not even let us go in to have a drink. But when his 2 buddies show up a high five is all it takes to go in.
Fantastic!!! – A friend of mine recommended this place and she was right on. I told her that I wanted a romantic place with good food and service. Well I got all of that and more. My date loved the place as much as I did and we walked out with a big smile on our faces. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!! We will be back!!!!!!!!
Pretty cool – My friends and I had no problem with the door staff, and walked right in on a Saturday night. This place feels like an old school cigar lounge on the imside, and the ambience on the patio is great. Even the unisex bathrooms that seemed really strange at first, would up to be kind of a neat social experiment. The drinks kept flowing, and the music was not so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. We'll definitely go back.
Trendy and sexy – Great atmosphere. We were seated right next to the (unfortunately gas driven) fireplace. The waiter was very obliging, helpful and competent. The quality of the food itself was appropriate, while the quantity was definitely not sufficient.
Class Act - Escapism – The food is more than amazing. The prices are extremely reasonable. he people are beautiful and the drinks are savory. The ambience is a perfect 10! If you can get in, you are in for a great experience - no doubt!
