Tom did a great repair and re-varnish on my Winder Solo dinghy. The wooden deck had separated from the GRP hull on one side. Top quality repair, great attention to detail and a super nice guy.
Tom has carried out many pieces of work for me for classic cars which are undergoing restoration, bringing wood trims back to life, or in some cases, having to start from scratch and remake wood trims. Very skilled, very high quality work and I highly recommend Fine Wooden Boats!
We found Tom at last year's Hemingford Classic Car Show where he was displaying a stunning speedboat, and enquired about sourcing a vintage day boat. Like a few romantic minded persons, I had a dream of owning a Riva, with its beautiful lines and mahogany wood, matched by its shiny chrome and wonderful V8 engine, made by Carlo Riva the Enzo Ferrari of the water. I cannot emphasise enough the quality of Tom's work. He purchased and designed my launch and is always at hand if I need help at all. His skills are first class as is his attention to detail. I cannot recommend Tom highly enough, just wonderful in every way.
