With locations throughout the U.S., Fig & Olive presents diners with fresh, simple ingredients typical of the Mediterranean. Just like everything else on the menu, the restaurant's minimalist decor is reminiscent of the region. Some of the starters include Charcuterie, Crostini and Crudo while the entrees combine a scrumptious mix of seafood and meat. The Fig & Olive Tajine is highly recommended, it is a Moroccan spiced chicken cooked in a Tajine. The Table for Two menu features rotating items, some of which include a Chatea... read more

Too Loud – I like this place: the location, decor and food. Service was a bit on the slow side but, more than anything, this place is LOUD. Be prepared to shout all evening at your tablemates and if you're in a large group, don't count on being in on any conversation more than one person away from you. We were a group of six women and would have had a MUCH better time if the music were turned down a lot, especially since at least one of us had a cold. On the other hand, if you're dining with someone who's a poor conversation... read more
Eh – Not great, not terrible. Coat check didn't lose my umbrella, which is nice. Not in love with olive oil iced cream for dessert though.
Engagement Party – Last weekend I was at the downtown location of this Mediterranean restaurant called Fig & Olive for my engagement party. I was nervous as the Meatpacking location is usually super crowded on a Saturday evening and I had a mix of guests, including my parents, relatives, older family friends and the younger crowd of friends my age, so I wanted everything to go perfectly. As it turns out I was overjoyed! Everything turned out beautifully and it was a perfect night that I will always remember. We rented out th... read more
Great reservation service and excellent table service! – You all know that it is hard to book a dinner for a large group in the trendy venues of the Meatpacking District. Well, Fig and Olive is definitely an exception! They have a very efficient reservation service and they made my life so simple when I tried to book a dinner for my party of 18! I simply had to give them my menu selection and everything was ready when my friends and I got there. We had a personalized menu printed out on our table and the service was excellen... read more
Unbelievable place... – I went to Fig & Olive last weekend for a girls night out in honor to celebrate my best friend's engagement and I had a wonderful experience..The food was stunning- I really recommend the Penne Mediterraneo, a true jewel from the Mediterranean..The service was really professional, we had an amazing waiter- he was a great teacher on olive oil and was great to recommend the wine- we ended up with a great bottle of red wine from the Cote Du Rhone! I will definitely go back- probably for Valentine's Day- t... read more
Best Birthday Event! – I went to Fig & Olive in the Meatpacking for my birthday, I had about 15 of friends with me and we worked with the restaurant's special events coordinator. She helped me planned everything details from the cocktails we had to the menu selections. I work all day and it was great that everything was done via e-mail and my party turned out exactly the way I wanted. My friends and I were impressed and the impeccable service continued at the restaurant as well. The servers were excellent. The food was great... read more
Horrible for a planned event – I recently booked a party here for about 35 people that I had requested lat 3 - 4 hours and would be primarily drinks that I asked to be cash bar but I would order some food. I was constantly told "no problem" but because I was not getting any real information from the event staff I confirmed EVERYTHING in email and was still told "no problem." The night before I got an email from the staff saying they were busy the next night and we would have to give up our area after 2 hours. When I spoke to... read more
Avoid drinks at the bar, specially whisky - Its a total ripoff – We went to the Fig and Olive, based on the recommendations in citysearch. Overall the food was average, the hostess prompt, however the drinks made by the bartender were a disaster and ruined our evening. We asked for single malt whisky and were served the most watered down whisky that we have ever been served in NYC. At $15 a drink, the least they can do is not 'penny pinch'. When we mentioned this to the hostess, we were told that the owners have been keeping... read more
Gorgeous space; delicious food – I went to Fig & Olive for lunch...for the second time. The first time was in November. I was struck, once again as I walked in, at the beauty of this place. It's so open and airy...makes you feel like you're somewhere else--like the South of France! The three olive oils our server put down for us to try were really interesting and delicate. I had the fig and olive salad with ripe, lovely figs, goat cheese, a nice mellow blue cheese, apple and lots of greens. Perfect for lunch. Next time I'll ... read more
