Complete waste of time - they have receptionists who ask for your details and do not tell you if there is a practising solicitor registered with the SRA here. Really!? I asked the third one I had to speak to, yes, third one, if they are just an answering company not linked with the practice, as they seemed clueless, and she put the phone down rather than say she was or was not.
Disgrace to the proffession. The Oxford branch. Started our mothets estate in April 2024, we could never get hold of the solicetor, then out of the blue, we receive email saying they no longer cover wills or probate. And recommend a company in Derby, who want £1,000 just to look at file. We have been ringing and emailing to ask for a work in progress report. Promises of calls back never happen WELL! The most exasperating company I have ever dealt with. The solicitor who undertook to deal with my late husband's estate never returned phone calls or responded to emails. After several months I was told she had left the company and taken no action whatsoever. I requested that all his documents and my own be transferred to another solicitor.
