AVOID IF YOU CAN. Incompetent, slow and unresponsive. You’re better off going elsewhere. Similar to the reviewer below, I completed a sale / conveyancing using Fellowes two years ago and only discovered upon remortgaging this year that they had not made an application to Land Registry notifying them of the sale. This is a massive oversight as I was essentially paying a mortgage on a property I didn’t technically own. We had Claire Saygili working on our recent property purchase and sale and she was fantastic. Calm, considered and very reliable - our conveyance was quite lenghty and protracted with a lot of queries raised along the way, but Claire dealt with them all very professionally and she was always responsive on email. Have heard nightmares about unresponsive conveyancing solicitors but glad to say this wasn't one of those instances. Would happily use Fellowes again for conveyancing.
I purchased my first property through Fellowes solicitors in May 2023. As I write this in May 2025, I am still awaiting my purchase to be registered with Land Registry. Despite chasing them several times by email and on the phone, I am just offered balderdash and piffles, like…. “After reviewing your application with HM Land Registry, I can confirm that it is still being processed. Have had excellent experience with this firm a couple of times in the past. However, awful experience recently and if you read the 1 star reviews, a clear pattern emerges. Still no resolution met so think a call to the SRA is in order.
Fellowes came highly recommended by a friend who’s used their conveyancing services on multiple occasions. I just needed a document witnessed. The team were friendly, helpful and reasonably priced. Thank you
