A great holiday let. Lots to do in and around. Hosts are amazing, views spectacular. Wish we could stay longer

Made a booking 48 hours ago, but unfortunately due to an appointment for my 2 year old son that has been brought forward and will need to be kept home for two weeks following his operation we will not be able to attend this booking, I've been told today that the deposit is none refundable and there is nothing they can do, I appreciate there a policy's in place, however with the shorty turn around I would have expected some level of compassion from a so-called family business.
