Attended the x ray department last week with my mother and the staff were absolutely dreadful. Utterly unprofessional and did not have an ounce of empathy in them. Most of the staff were walking around with cups of tea, busy socialising whilst the department was full of patients! Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid this department!!! Looked like there was only 2 young staff members consistently calling patients in whilst the rest were doing absolutely nothing! Is this how our tax money is being spent! This so called hospital do not deserve even 1/4 of a star.A dirty old stinky waiting room full of people.As enter a&e department there is startling tense vibe around you.The hideous outdated environment.And personnel.Not helpful-rather rude.People have to wait for long hours average six hours to be attended.I have been in this awful hospital number of times as agency worker.By mercy of God I was never a patient of this place as I feel sorry for any one who have to be there.No hospital should look and be like this in 21 st of... read more

I have been an in patient at Fairfield Hospital a number of times since 2003 and have to say that my treatment on those occasions ranged from excellent to truly abysmal. The overall abysmal and excellent does not cover the whole spell that I was in, but my treatment within the spells. I had a pacemaker fitted in 2016 and returned for a pre-op earlier this month and to have it replaced on 19.9.2025.
