I had a cornea abrasion on my left eye , walked into this clinic at 10.30 , I was out seen and given antibiotics and drops , 5 days later my eye is perfect and vision the same . Very quick and patient nurses plus doctors .' One of the best places on the nhs and recommend for eye issues .
A big shout-out for this service. Excellent clinical care from a well oiled team led by Mrs Cordelia McKechnie. They gave me confidence to have my eye surgery last month. Thank you to Dr Antoine Safi and Mrs McKechnie who did my surgery and the Eye Treatment team. Eye Casualty was incredibly prompt, after signing in, a nurse came out shortly after and did an eye-sight check (read numbers off a wall) - shortly after another nurse performed a brief diagnostic and had light shine into my eyes and then after she finished, your called again and this time the Doctor observes your eyes closely, gave a final diagnosis and then your off to collect a prescription (you can come back and collect if needed as queue can be long) really good service and surprisingly robust for the NHS. I had my cataract surgery and it was a pain free excellent procedure and I love the staff at Whipps Cross. Ever since my first procedure over 50 years ago to now.
Always a 2 hour wait even when you have an appointment. No one answeres phone. Staff just wandering around oblivious and ignoring patients. This place is the worse.
