Do not have the ABIC surgery. It is very painful and does not work. I've also, been struggling with my eyes since my cataract surgery and have seen 3 doctors at Heaton Eye Associates and none know what to do about my eyes. Received a letter from Lisa Hindman stating on August 3, 2017, that someone was reviewing my concerns regarding the pain I had during the ABIC surgery and still waiting to hear from someone at Heaton Eye Associates.
Yesterday was my 3 year olds first apt here with Dr. Hunter and it was absolutely amazing. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Normal Dr's offices I feel like I need to keep my little ones still and quiet in the waiting room. But here they have a kids waiting room with kids toys, tv playing cartoons and a fish tank that kept my 3 year old entertained the whole wait. They made both of us feel comfortable and stress free the whole visit. ❤️

I have worn glasses all my life from about the age of 2 for farsightedness and Esotropia that caused double vision ( eyes crossing in ) I was able to have LASIK eye surgery with Dr. Nickel to correct the farsightedness and a few weeks later had eye muscle surgery with Dr. Hunter for the crossing. I had PRK done at Heaton Eye Associates just over a week ago. I've worn some combination of contacts and glasses for 27 years or so. Not anymore. Every step of the way was pleasant and handled professionally. The free consultation was a very nice incentive to get in there and finally get my eyes fixed. Dr. Nickel has the best informed consent practice I've witnessed in my life. He laid out every risk honestly, and gave me the choice of lasik or PRK, after he recommended PRK.
