I had LASIK (PRK) a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the results. My experience with Heaton Eye Associates is one that I am very grateful for. I love that Dr.Heaton prayed with me before surgery. From my first visit until this morning when I went to my post-op I have been so pleased with everything.

Heaton Eye Associates charges a separate fee for a refraction when one is getting a Comprehensive eye exam. if a refraction is not part of a Comprehensive then I must ask , "Why not" ? I have been having eye exams for 40 years and a refraction has ALWAYS been a part if a comprehensive exam During a comprehensive exam, one of the things checked is visual acuity. Hi Kathy, I'm so sorry that you wouldn't be able to recommend us to your family and friends. The refraction charge can be confusing, and every insurance coverage is different. Many insurances don't consider a refraction a covered charge, but do require that one be performed. A refraction does check visual acuity, but helps with diagnosing overall health of the eyes and vision as well. WOW!! Where do I start, it’s was a great experience from the time that I made it to the front desk and the person there greets you with a smile and so polite. I didn’t wait long at all and within minutes I was cuffed, IV, and the nurses were great!! The doctor came in to talk to me, then the surgery nurse and anesthesiologists with good stuff and I was out . It was fast and I’m in no pain. I would recommend to everyone who needs eye care or surgery.. Thank you everyone who made me feel like the most important patient..
