My first US OPEN it was a great experience, saw some fantastic shots on some very difficult lies. Hospitality was also great, can't wait to play it sometime.
Beautiful course, but miserable for spectators. Not enough water stations for a course that has absolutely no shade. Thirty minute wait minimum at every concession stand. Didn't even provide umbrellas at the one and only dining area on the course. Most food concessions offered hot dogs and PBJs as the only sandwiches. Really? USGA needs to step up their game.
Beautiful Championship Course. Maps were not as available as other golf venues so we ran in to places where we had to back track around a dead end. More shade in main Concession area would have been good. Overall, a great golfing tournament experience as a spectator. Very well run. Hats off to the USGS and to Erin Hills Golf Course! Great US Open!
I was there for the US Open and loved it! Thought it was a beautiful course!
As noted. This is a big course with no escape from the elements. Could use better signage to get to holes. Need more seating but still fun and great venue. Needs to improve a little and be put in the Open rotation. Drove two hours and would go back.
Wonderful layout for viewing a golf tournament. Apparently the course is too easy.

Saved up money to take my dad and step dad to the open, we had fun, for the most part. I was very disappointed with how they had holes roped off. The course is so hilly that there is only certain spots were you can see anything and they were always packed with people. Basically we got to see two nice shots in 5 hours. Not spectator friendly at all. For 400$ dollars (which is ALOT for me), I was hoping for much more. 5 hours in we just gave up and had to retreat to the merch tent to escape the heat for a bit.
