The course was also designed to be able to accommodate the U.S. Open, in terms of both the challenge to the players and the logistics for handling more than 60,000 spectators and the related support structure. This mix of traditional and modern elements as well as a championship test over a unique piece of property will leave many golfers marveling at how they have never played anywhere like Erin Hills.

So glad I was able to attend for part of one day! Every staff person I met was helpful, sincere & professional.
Awesome, get venue, friendly people, nice weather, does not get much better
Great course for a tournament. Parking and walking to the course was easy and well organized. Can't wait to come back and play the course.
Awesome and well groomed golf course. Cannot wait to play it next year and my only complaint is the USGA needs to have more concession stands. Waiting in line for 30 mins for a beverage is not acceptable.
Over all I thought the course was very nice the USGA did a excellent job setting the course up for the tournament, but as a golfer I would not play it because I wouldn't be able to walk the course for what I heard what it cost to play, if it offered cart rental I very much consider it for play
Erin Hills is a gorgeous golf course but not as spectator friendly as we expected. Many areas were roped off and required you to go way out of your way to navigate the course. The concession stands were more plentiful on the front nine and not stocked uniformly. Several ran out of water on a very hot sticky day. Once you left the "corporate " areas, there was no place to get out of the sun.....shade stations would be something to consider. Marshals were way too plentiful on some holes and actually obstructed spectator views.... read more
Not enough concessions. Had to wait over half an hour for food and drinks in the heat. Need to add misters as well.
Beautiful course is the only good thing it had to offer. We brought unopened water bottles because of listeria in the water stations. We were told to dump it and keep the empty bottles. Unprofessionally planned with no thought to the spectators or their well being.
The course itself was amazing--for the golfers or anyone who is lucky enough to be in one of the corporate tents or paid a fortune to be in the other high-priced tents. Very un-fan friendly and there should've been more thought put into the regular spectator. With the extreme heat there should've been misting stations, more concession stands, and more water stations. I saw many people succumb to the heat. That being said, it was an amazing experience to be at the US Open at such a beautiful Wisconsin course.
