Erin Hills Golf Course

4.7

About this business

The course was also designed to be able to accommodate the U.S. Open, in terms of both the challenge to the players and the logistics for handling more than 60,000 spectators and the related support structure. This mix of traditional and modern elements as well as a championship test over a unique piece of property will leave many golfers marveling at how they have never played anywhere like Erin Hills.

Having played the course a couple times I had the opportunity to attend several majors im the past I knew what to expect and how difficult the course would be to walk. The concession stands were packed and require up to 30 min to order the items. The course condition was spectacular and looked awesome.

Very nice course! Very proud to have been a part of the 1st US Open in Wisconsin history! Erin Hills will continue to host the PGA for years to come. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is I felt the venue could have been more accommodating to the spectators. Maybe I am just spoiled from having been to the Masters twice.

1st tournament I've ever been to. My son was a volunteer all week. We loved it! Yes, it was hot but we knew that was the forecast. Some concession lines were long but we expected that too. We knew there was no shade, it was widely talked about before so I'm perplexed why people were surprised. Overall, we loved it! Can't wait to go again sometime!

Great tournament! Very friendly volunteers. Even better fan experience compared to last year at Oakmont which is impressive for a first time host.

Ok, was I the only one that read the directions in the Fan Guide to the Red parking lot, which WASN'T there?? They taped a sheet of paper to a stop sign telling you to go a half hour north to a different location. Not sure what we would have done if my wife hadn't seen it. How many volunteers did they have and they couldn't have posted a couple there telling you to go to the new place? Go to the local hardware store, get a sheet of plywood and a can of spray paint and point people to the right place. Other than that, it was ... read more

My gripe is with the USGA. IT TOOK 2.5 hrs from the time we exited I-94 until we reached the course: one hour in traffic, one hour in line for the bus, and 30 minutes on the bus. No Excuse.
