Incompetent. Rude. Fight every step of the way to avoid paying out on claim after storm damage to home. Most stressful experience with an insurance agency. Claims "supervisor" was arrogant and extremely unprofessional in communication. We will be changing agencies once this god awful experience is over.
Worst company to deal with . They will not treat a victim of an accident well . Erie doesn't want to pay out . The reviews and complaints on Facebook is enough to say how poor they are
got a quote online for $185.58 and asked to call the local agent to sign up , when I calked i was asked to pay $255 that is more than %40 so i called the customer service and informed them i provide all the information correctly and accurate when i applied online,was told no one forcing me to get Erie insurance, totally unprofessional and misleading the customer, you have to be honest and transparent
I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from Erie following a minor accident I was recently involved in. Once my car was dropped off at their approved repair shop they took care of everything, all I had to do was sign for the car when I picked it up. Erie is a little more expensive than some other insurance providers, but you get what you pay for with regard to the service you receive.
This review is a warning to all regarding Erie Insurance. I was a passenger in a car that was hit by an insured of Erie. Their insured ran a red light and hit us as we entered the intersection. Both the Incident Report and the witnesses who stayed to talk to the police clearly state that Erie's insured was at fault. I was injured and taken to the hospital by ambulance. Erie underwrote an auto policy with me, their agent advised me to cancel my existing policy with State Farm, and then they arbitrarily decided to cancel my policy. The stated reason was accident history, even though accident history was fully disclosed at the time of application. Be aware that low rates are just a way for Erie to get you to sign up with them - they will then cancel you and leave you holding the bag whenever it suits them. Been with them over 10 years no claims, tickets or accidents. Had a flat tire they changed 2 years ago and juat got a statement saying they were charging me $104/year increase because of that.
I am dealing with Erie Insurance for a workers compensation claim. My husband died while on the job in September of 2017. After the accident, the company took until the 21st day to tell me that they were missing information. They denied it pending further information. This company falsely reported that I had been the fault of an accident caused by one of their insured clients. This client had lied to their insurance company and Erie took their side even though there was physical pictures to prove obvious innocence on my part. This company did not even look at the pictures provided and immediately responded against obvious judgement.
