Outstanding Customer service prior to filing a Claim! After my claim I spoke with THREE individuals who were all rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.

Half of this one star rating is because they at least answered the phone. This place is a joke. It has been almost 2 weeks since my car accident, which was the fault of an Erie policy holder. What’s happened since then? Nothing. First they told me I needed to have my car towed to a different lot so I will not have to pay a huge storage fee. Why would I pay a storage fee or pay to have my car towed when I was not at fault??? They haven’t even looked at my car, offered a rental car, or even spoke to their at-fault policy holde... read more

Erie Insurance are not concerned about the customer, only about lining their own pockets. One could say this is the case for most insurance companies, but when you've been a customer for 13 years and have had ZERO claims, and you finally file a claim with them, you expect a fair settlement. Far from it. The valuation of the totaled vehicle was way off, and the salvage was absurdly high. So what happens then? You get very little money to fix your vehicle, and you are bound to go over what they are offering you. Therefore, you... read more

My car was in an accident a lady with this insurance company hit me. I called them within one day my car was scheduled to be fixed and a rental car provided. They were easy to work with very nice I will be switching to them when my policy is over with the company I’m with.

Been with Erie 22 years, never filed a homeowners claim. Called two years ago after storm due to roof. they documented hail damage, no wind damage but not enough for claim. Another storm last month, called them. Adjuster never went on roof, sent a contractor they hired. Now saying minor wind damage, no hail damage (I guess the metal chimneys repaired themselves). My contractor felt enough damage to replace at least 1/2 roof. Of course Erie denied. 80 % of roofs in my cul-de-sac have been replaced due to storm damage, the onl... read more

Erie Insurance bottom line, is to avoid paying claims. Our house was hit with a micro-burst, in May 2018. 32 houses in our area are getting insurance to replace shingles, Erie says that our house was not hit by the hail. But houses on left and right and across the street and behind our house are getting replacement roofs. Erie claims our house is the only one in a two block area that has no damage. Guess I had angels holding umbrellas that prevented our house from getting damaged. I would never recommend Erie Insurance for a... read more

I have been with Erie for less than two years and never had a problem until just recently when I had to file a claim. I have full coverage on my 2015 BMW 328i and it was set up thew a insurance agency because they don't set up policies directly (red flag) . 7/20 I filed a claim I learned that I do not have rental and I have a diminishing deductible. Ok, so I pay for my own rental and after talking to Erie they said a adjuster will call me within forty eight hours. 7/23 I am contacted by a Erie adjusters who inform me that th... read more

They are cheap. However, if you get a scratch on your car and file a claim you will either get a love letter from an underwriter saying you are more of a risk that their typical customer or have your insurance canceled. I found out when I moved to another state that they would not insure me unless my husband and I had a policy together, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise since my agent found out and shared with me after talking to an underwriter that after being with them for 14 years they were not going to renew ... read more
