Horrible, rude, condescending. Unwilling to help through the claims process and will then attempt to find "fraud" and refuse to pay holdback amount. Nightmare for families.
My parents have been with this company for 30 years. They have had many policies with them throughout this time. They haven't filed a single claim, until about 2 months ago, and is now being denied. My father did everything he could to be sure that he was covered. It is a terrible way to treat a long standing customer. Unacceptable.
horrible claims department. I got hit by a guy who has Erie . 2 weeks into inspecting having my car for repair its deemed a total loss. The claims adjuster calls me and gives me a very low offer to settle. I tell her i couldnt get a similar car year older with double the miles for that price. She asks me to send her listings to prove it and i do immediately. 3 days later i call her and she hasnt reviewed my email and does not know when she can. I’ve only been an Erie customer for less than 5 months and couldn’t be happier I’ve decided to end my relationship with this company. Last month I called prior to the due date and paid my policy in full for the month of May, only for the “automatic payment system” to still attempt to charge me an additional $223.50. Horrible experience after hail damage to home and car! Rude, inconsiderate people with horrible customer service! Not helpful at all and only care about being as cheap as possible, not about their customers! Will be leaving!
Incompetent. Rude. Fight every step of the way to avoid paying out on claim after storm damage to home. Most stressful experience with an insurance agency. Claims "supervisor" was arrogant and extremely unprofessional in communication. We will be changing agencies once this god awful experience is over.
Worst company to deal with . They will not treat a victim of an accident well . Erie doesn't want to pay out . The reviews and complaints on Facebook is enough to say how poor they are
got a quote online for $185.58 and asked to call the local agent to sign up , when I calked i was asked to pay $255 that is more than %40 so i called the customer service and informed them i provide all the information correctly and accurate when i applied online,was told no one forcing me to get Erie insurance, totally unprofessional and misleading the customer, you have to be honest and transparent
I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from Erie following a minor accident I was recently involved in. Once my car was dropped off at their approved repair shop they took care of everything, all I had to do was sign for the car when I picked it up. Erie is a little more expensive than some other insurance providers, but you get what you pay for with regard to the service you receive.
