Do not use your auto insurance twice in one year, they will drop you. Had the insurance for 15-20 years and never used the policy. Used it twice in one year, the accidents did not involve a citation. Like the one commercial says why have insurance because if you use it they will drop you as being a high risk to insurance.

We had an adjuster come out to look at our house due to a burst pipe back in January 2019. We're near the end of July and it just now got wrapped up. He has been trying to get out of paying for things he said he would pay for, and Erie overall really dragged their feet in the process. We were without flooring in our house for 3 months before we were finally able to get a check to cover some of it. Adjuster refused to answer our calls or call us back at all and it had to be elevted to VP of claims in order to get anything don... read more

Been dealing with them since 7/24/18 when one of their insured hit us. After calling multiple times and leacing messages with no call back for months in end. I decided to file a report with the Indiana Insurance Commissioner. That got the ball rolling for a few calls. Was told I would get a call back in 2 weeks that was 6 weeks ago. If you gwt hit by someone with Erie it is probably smart to lawyer up from the get go.

My review is in reference to an automobile claim. I am not an Erie customer; however, I was rear-ended by an Erie client. I had a new Ford Explorer. I was hit so hard the rear hitch came up through the back seat. Erie paid the initial damage. I went to my Ford dealer to get it fixed. My Ford dealer said that I should pursue Erie for a "diminished value claim" since now my car was in a 'major" accident Ford would not take it on a trade-in, and most places will not since it is now in carfax as being in a major accident. I call... read more

This company is a joke. After having an adjuster come out and look at our house due to storm damage. We were lied to, the adjusters were extremely rude and disrespectful, and they damaged our house with the equipment they used. Several other neighbors were able to get claims with Erie Insurance due to storm damage, but we were lied to, after being told by numerous restoration companies that we do have damage. Our insurance agent made a sexist remark to my wife, and then we made a complaint to the Erie regional manager and he... read more

Everything was fine until you call for your second claim, then you can look forward to being talked to like a criminal and intimated for even calling for an additional claim. Dropping this company and their tactics ASAP! I’ve been with Erie for 15 years. Never had a single claim... lost control on ice in Jan and hit my mail box. Made my first ever claim to fix my paint job. March, I had my first actual accident in a parking garage and claimed fault for that. Now today a contractor is here looking at our roof giving us a quot... read more

I only give 1 star because i cannot give no star rating. Vehicle involved in an accident and the petson who rear ended me is insured with Erie insurance. Now going on 2 months since the accident Erie insurance still doesnt think it is their clients fault. I had to manage the claim and pay my deductible to get my car back. Their answer is it is still under investigation. While on the phone with Erie i asked. Reading the police report between your client and my car regardless of any other circumstance would they agree it is th... read more

I've been with Erie for 30 years. On the homeowner's side we've had our roof replaced due to storm damage, on my landlord coverage we had our central air conditioning unit replaced (at replacement cost) because someone stole it off the cement pad when the home was vacant and I've had several auto claims over the years. All those incidents went smoothly because we went through Erie approved contractors or body shops. I did lose the auto policy once because I paid the premium after the due date at a point where we had too many... read more
