I’ve lived in Youngstown Flats , Seattle for the past 7 years . I’ve never had any issues and I’ve always paid my rent on time . When Greystar took over Youngstown Flats , I’ve found they had raised my rent by %65 WITH NO WARNING. Its illegal in Seattle. If the rent is raised by at least %10 , the property management needs to inform the tenant 180 days in advance . I had 0 days notice . My rent rise from $1520 to $2349 WITH NO WARNING! My unit is income based , too so there limits they can the rent up .

I am a new resident at Waterford at Southlands, less than a month. They require residents to do a full move in checklist. I do not have a problem with this other than what the resident is doing is basically an inspection of what has been done to the apartment before move on, because the management can't be bothered. I asked how specific I needed to be and I was told very specific. Patchwork painting was done. Manager informed me that they paid a third party contractor to do a full painting of apartment. 1) They unlawfully entered my apartment without my consent (office manager/maintenance worker/3rd party entity doing apartment checks) while I was home in my t-shirt and underwear - I had to yell at the maintenance worker to get out of my apartment in order for him to get out. When I saw him around the ground he would smirk as if it were funny. I called the leasing office to speak with the assistant manager - never received call back. I resided in a Greystar property from 2020-2021, and I was a responsible tenant that maintained a clean apartment and paid rent on time. Ahead of moving out, I requested a walk through with property staff in writing and never received a response. Since I thought the unit was in good shape, I didn't press any further and moved out. After moving out, I received a bill from Greystar for "damages" to the unit. Novel Atherton’s tag line should be “best lip-service by the most incompetent staff you’ll ever meet”. This joke of a complex is just that; a joke. You’ll end up paying a big LUX price for a mediocre, at BEST, experience. The only thing arguably worth the steep price tag is the location. It has been roughly 4 months I was asked to issue a roughly 2k holding deposit for an application. I did not move my daughter into the apartment and they still have yet to reimburse me my money! No one answers calls nor responds to voicemails at this establishment. I want my money back! This is a scam to rip hard working citizens off! Do not apply to these apartments!

Management of our complex (city gate apartment in Denver) by grey star has been atrocious. We have lost thousands of dollars at this point to stollen packages, car break-ins, towings that don’t meet state compliance laws with unclear parking signage, and pet medical and hotel bills from the month we were without AC last year in June-July. Good day to all it may concern, I am a resident at Avant and my vehicle was towed without notice or reason. I came home to find my vehicle missing, only to learn that the manager of the complex had it towed yet he never notified me of an issue or concern regarding my vehicle. There was no email, no sticker placed on the car, no letter on my door and he had it towed away. It was very stressful and time consuming to track down my vehicle after a hard day of work.
