I was in room 334 and it had stained curtains, a cracked bathtub patched badly, door swipe card key kept not working and only had one elevator. On a positive side, the complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and staff were very accommodating! Nice shallow indoor swimming pool to have fun. Very convenient location near lots of stores and University of Virginia.
RecommendedThe rooms are cozy. Continental breakfast is available the following morning. It’s a very nice place.
Our room was nice, clean, cool. The beds were so comfortable. All of the staff were so friendly. The pool was nice. The breakfast was delicious. I would recommend the English Inn if staying in Charlottesville.

We came upon this place accidentally and were pleasantly surprised. We were in a one bedroom suite that opened out to a beautiful courtyard. The bed was very comfortable and the unit had a small kitchen and a sleeper sofa. We were traveling cross country and this stop was a highlight!
Went to a baby shower there yesterday. Hotel very clean and nice and pretty to be an older hotel.

Don’t waste your time let alone your money. Needs renovations not tape... There are other beautiful places that deserve to make you make your stay memorable.
The hotel was extremely close to John Paul Jones arena. We went to see pink and walked. Found restaurants on the way. The rooms were just what we needed. Would definitely stay again if we visit the area again.
