Although the building is showing its age a bit, the rooms were nice and clean and had all the little touches and conveniences one would hope for. The wi-fi was terrible, and that was really the only negative.

I am deeply disappointed. I booked a room for the Empire through hotels.com. I booked a room with free cancellation. I was rushed to the hospital on Sunday evening. Monday was the deadline to cancel the reservation without a charge. I attempted to cancel the reservation Sunday evening, but because the cutoff time was listed in Greenwich Mean Time, I had missed the cutoff. I explained to the hotel that I was in the hospital and didn't realize the cutoff was in Greenwich Mean Time, and that did not matter. I have still be char... read more

Stayed for our wedding in June 2016. Loved our room. All staff were so friendly. Will return for our wedding anniversary soon x
