Determined the strange overseas infection that sent my friends to the ICU, got CDC involved and saved their lives!
Each Doctor says something different. Their dumb. My husband has a broken back and they wouldn't give him pain meds. Said hang in there till you can see the orthopedic doctor. Put Icy patch on him. Didn't even put him in a brace. Come on!!!! Show some compassion. A pain shot and a brace. Really disappointed in EMORY MEDICAL EMERGENCY ROOM.
I am very disappointed at the level of service we received on our visit to the emergency on Friday June 23rd. My daughter is having some severe abdominal pain since Sunday. She is 26 and is on dialysis. She has been throwing up and has had severe diarrhea. First i took her to the emergency at Emory St. Joseph on Thursday morning at 3 a.m. After being there for 4 hours the doctor did a CT scan and found a cyst on her ovary and his conclusion was that was causing the pain. The surgeon, Dr. Elizabeth Shaffer is amazing. I can't say enough about her expert hands. I am very impressed with the nursing staff. I think the most important part of a hospital stay are the nurses. Emory is the Master Class on nursing. You don't have to repeat information from nurse to nurse. Multiple nurses respond within minutes. And, the care is so incredibly thorough. These people are top notch. The only negative are the rooms are not made to keep a parent overnight, if necessary. Seriously one of the best hospitals I have ever dealt with. The staff was so helpful and the doctors are hands down the best around. The elevator and wing system is crazy confusing but other than that an amazing hospital.
It's always hard when you have to be in any medical facility for any period of time; however, when the entire staff really love and enjoy what they do, it's all good. Thanks Emory for taking care of my wife!
I will not go to any other hospital...almost all my doctor's except 2 are at Emory!!!
Was on 4th floor cardiac patients. Had to stay over after carth procedure. Could not sleep for all the noise!! I was directly across from the nurses station & next to a elevator. Loud noises all night & laughing, talking, cell phones ringing, tray dropping & some noises that can't be identified. Reported to my nurse & he said I could not be moved they had no rooms available. Very disappointed in the way that Emory has little concern for quality of patience post surgery comfort!
